My golf trip to Scotland was the trip of a lifetime. Nine rounds in nine days is my kind of holiday. Each time I checked into a new accomodation it was better than the last. Archerfield House was probably one of the nicest places I have ever stayed at. The history of the building and the friendliness of the staff at Archerfield helped make this portion of the vacation a highlight. After staying at Archerfield House we didn’t think the accomodations could get much better but to our surprise The Old Course Hotel did not dissapoint. The restaurants that you and the hotels recommended were spot on. We never had a poor quality meal and everyone was so friendly. The plan to golf each course also worked out perfectly. The accomodations were always close to where we needed to be and the directions were almost always easy to figure out. That right hand drive was interesting for us Canadians. The T-times were at great times. They let us sleep in on some days and get up early the way golf should be played on other days. The day off in the middle worked out great to visit the sites in St. Andrews. This was supposed to be a once in a lifetime trip, that was capped off with Ken’s hole-in-one at Turnberry, but after further reflection, I do want to make this trip again in the future. I will definitely be calling you to book the next trip as well. If I had to do it all again nothing would be needed to be changed except maybe stay longer.
What else can be said: Golfing at Kintyre, Ailsa, Western Gailles, Muirfield, Archerfield, Kingsbarn, Carnoustie, Old Course, New Course worth the price of admission, dealing with Golf Vacations and seeing a hole-in-one PRICELESS.
