Castle Stuart was the host venue for the 2011 Barclays Scottish Open and 2016. The new kid on the Highlands block, Castle Stuart receives rave reviews since its opening. Breathtaking views and exceptional course design by Parsinen, who also created Kingsbarns. Parsinen used his course development knowledge to allow tees of sufficient length that the ‘tee of the day’ can be set with the weather conditions in mind. Careful, strategic gorse planting allows each hole to be individual with little outside influence.
