St. Andrews Jubilee Course

THE LINKS, ST ANDREWS, FIFE, SCOTLAND

Created on a narrow strip of land between the New Course and the sea in the largest sand dunes St. Andrews has to offer, it leads to more variety of layout and elevation changes. The Jubilee was originally a 12 hole course but it has been extended twice. It is the most demanding course, and many find it the most difficult in the St Andrews area with some of the holes being closely lined with gorse bushes and requiring long, straight tee shots. There is a fine collection of par three holes and testing par fours to large, undulating greens and these as always, are protected by cavernous pot bunkers normally associated with links golf. Given its location beside the sea, it is prone to the sea breezes that sweep in from St Andrews Bay.
